the last goodbye.....

| I SUPPOSE, IN THE END ,THE WHOLE OF LIFE BECOMES AN ACT OF LETTING GO BUT WHAT ALWAYS HURTS THE MOST IS NOT TAKING A MOMENT TO SAY GOODBYE,,,,
The neuroendocrine tumor in simple term could be seen as an uninvited guest in our intestine that grows out of proportion making it difficult for body to carry its regular activity ,this above thing took life of one of the finest actors of this generation and i am not the one who is making up these claims but if you ask any person who has some understanding of what acting really means would say the same, irrfan was gem. Irrfan khan born as Sahabzada on 7th jan 1967 walked very very long path to become what he was, frankly I have only seen handful of his movies one of them is billu barber ,that is my first impression of irrfan khan but in my mind Shahrukh was the real hero because i was too naive at that age to understand what is real difference between a hero and an actor but after Paan Singh Tomar it became very much clear that acting is something different than six pack abs or those item numbers which couple of years ago were necessity for any blockbuster.the kind of cinema I watched on tv or serials which my family is a consumer ,there was and still no place for actor like Irrfan because unfortunately we still have those serials where mother in law would turn thrice and say "bahu, bahu, bahu". but now came the time of netflix and amazon which gives freedom to consumer and opens up gateway for those who want to see good work but in running life they cant afford to have a theatrical experience. In times of 2000 when india was globalizing and citizens of india started to travel all over world ,something was changing, diaspora was bringing new ideas and whenever any progressive thought starts gaining ground in India then first state to experience changes is West Bengal though Bengal keep itself intact with its roots but has always allowed any new idea to flourish and based this foundation, Mira Nair very eloquently showcases the changing aspirations of Bengal and subsequently that of India in movie name THE NAMESAKE, Irrfan and Tabbu as Mira Nair describes were on screen soulmates , story begins when doctoral fellow Ashoke Ganguly comes back to Calcutta to marry Ashima and both then goes back to USA and after little phase of loneliness Tabbu gets well acquainted with american culture plus maintaning their bengali identity. both lives good life until in his early fifties Ashoke dies due to heart attack and afterwards Ashima decides to come back to India and spent her rest of the life enjoying her old hobby of singing ,underneath this personal story there lies a truth which is hard to grasp but is inevitable.it was a story of individual starts from her birth to schooling to marriage to parenting, in very subtle way story talks about cultural changes , father son relation , husband and wife relation and story tells that all these relation may exert big influence on our life but they are not end in themselves , they are just way of enhancing ones own capacity to live life to its fullest and to fill those emotional voids in this journey called life. life is in its simplest terms a journey in which we meet people , we fall in love, we fight, we ignore, we create relationship with others and this goes on and on and on but what must not stop is that journey .
writing a first blog and that of an actor who left the world just days ago is not a good idea but what else i could do to remember his work and his life and what i know is irrfan khan deserves the last goodbye which he earned through three decade of unstoppable hard work let us work to make cinema better by watching a good cinema in pursuit of aknowledging the best of work rather than making sheela jawan and munni badnam.
